My Ph.D is from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Prior to the IMF, my previous academic positions included University of Miami and the American Graduate School for International Management (Thunderbird). Much of my time in the IMF has been in its training and capacity development department, the Institute for Capacity Development. My topical interests -- both research and teaching --include open economy macro, fiscal policy/sustainability, and more recently economic growth.
