ABOUT MY JOURNEY: My background is in macroeconomics -- over two decades at he International Monetary Fund. But I've always been a musician. I’ve been afforded the time and the health to more fully develop my musical voice on guitar – broadly in the “jazz” idiom, encompassing the popular song book, blues and always always the bossa nova.

WHY “WAYWARD”? Yes, jazz has rules and orthodoxies. But rules are to be broken. And, if you don't know all the rules, just play anyway. Our one life is for learning. Let me share my rebellious and wayward spirit with you.

ON THIS WEBSITE: Please find my song list, sample videos of me playing and my contact information. I would be delighted for you to invite me into your life and to let me play for you. If you would like me to perform for you, don't hesitate to contact me!!

GRATITUDE: Thanks go to my family: my son Miles (a superb musician himself) my partner Danielle (who tolerates my repetitive practice), her parents June and John, my brother Adam, fellow players, Raul and Charlie, and my main guitar teacher, Steve Herberman (who is so patient with my wayward tendencies).

Some Samples

Beatrice (Sam Rivers)

Ceora (Lee Morgan)

Dolphin Dance (H. Hancock)

Triste (A.C. Jobim)
